Control Center is not in the Umbrel App Store yet. Sideload it for now. It needs umbrelOS 2.0 or later.

Before you start

Install and sync Bitcoin Node, Electrs, and Mempool.

Get the bundle

Download the Umbrel sideload bundle from bitcoincontrolcenter.com. Copy it to your Umbrel.

Run the installer

SSH in as umbrel. Extract the bundle. Run:

Open it

Open Bitcoin Control Center from the Umbrel home screen.

Set your PIN

The first person to open it sets the PIN. Enter 6 digits twice. Save it in your password manager.

Choose a 6-digit PIN.

Umbrel’s own login does not protect the app from other apps on your Umbrel. That is why Control Center has its own PIN.

Update or uninstall

  • Update: run ./install.sh from the new bundle.
  • Uninstall: use Umbrel’s app menu.

  1. Open the umbrelOS terminal (Settings → Advanced settings).
  2. Run:
